Women's Dress Lehanga Choli is a very popular dress for party and weddings among women in north India. This dress comes in three parts – lehanga, a long skirt reaching the ankles; choli, a blouse up to bust length; and dupatta, a long rectangular scarf. Blouse has sometimes open back with string for tying. The dress is made colorful through patchwork of multi color fabric, applique and embroidery. Mirrors are also used embroidered in both lehanga and choli making the dress even more colorful. In Rajasthan and Gujarat, women of all ages wear this dress on every festive occasion. In the month of October and November, during Divali festival, women wear lehanga choli and dance through the night for full nine days. This dress goes very well with Indian shoes – juties and ankle bracelets in silver. Women also wear silver armlets along with choli. In order to make the dress look even more dazzling, women sometimes also wear silver belly chains.
